Frequently asked
How do I hook more than one fish at once?
Build the school's interest by holding gently on the ice before the tip dips, then tap the moment it does. The number of hooks on your rig, set in the Tent, decides how many smelt you can land on a single clean strike.
Why did the school scatter?
Holding too long roughens the water and spooks the school, and so does striking late after the tip has already dipped. Watch for the tip to dip orange and tap right away.
What does the second rod do while I'm away?
The second rod in its holder keeps fishing slowly on its own. Open the bucket on the Hole screen to collect what it caught. A heater upgrade in the Tent makes it faster and raises how much it can hold.
Is my progress backed up anywhere?
Your Catch Book, gear and tempura plates are saved only on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere, so reinstalling the app or switching devices will not carry your progress over.
Does pinning a photo upload it anywhere?
No. A photo you pin to a Catch Book day is copied into the app's own storage on your device and is never sent anywhere.
